Why are rain gutters important?

Rain gutters are an important outside element of a house. Without them, rainwater will collect and seep into the dirt surrounding a house leading to soil erosion, foundation leakage, and dirt splashing up onto the sides of the house.

Seamless rain gutters provide great water channel methods, require less maintenance and are generally more aesthetically pleasing. While the choice of seamless rain gutter is more expensive initially, the benefits are well worth the cost.

Constructed of either aluminum or steel, seamless rain gutter systems can be measured, fit, cut and installed on location typically in a relatively short time frame.

What is a seamless rain gutter system?

A seamless rain gutter has a top that is rounded on the side away from your home that hangs out in most cases a little further than the actual gutter (typically 1/8" to 1/4"). The curve allows water to flow into the gutter and out the downspout while at the same time leaves and other debris slide off the top not clogging the gutter.

What are the advantages of the various metals offered for your Gutter Systems?

Aluminum
Aluminum is one of the least expensive products available and does not rust. Aluminum gutters are manufactured on the job to the precise measurements of your home and are pre-finished in 22 colors. They have a 100-year warranty against chipping, cracking and peeling of the factory finish.

Galvanized Steel
Steel gutters are more rigid than aluminum and have a limited color selection.

What is the best kind of rain gutter?

Aluminum is, by far, the most commonly used material for gutters. Inexpensive, relatively maintenance free (but it is recommended to clean all gutters once per year), lightweight and rust free. They are available in various colors. Although there are alternatives to aluminum (such as galvanized steel and copper), its low cost and fewer drawbacks make it the most popular choice.

It is our experience that most homeowners choose seamless aluminum rain gutters, they offer the best value for your dollar and are available in many colors.

What are leaf screens?

Leaf screens are an added value and protection system for seamless rain gutters. They guard against not only leaf accumulation, but also twigs, branches, birds, animals and other debris that can cause clogging or poor function in your seamless rain gutter system.
